Style Star…

I was so happy when I clicked on to ELLE.com this afternoon and saw that actress Kate Hudson was featured in Style Star.

ELLE describe the Hollywood beauty as, ‘Effortlessly cool and always super stylish.’ This she most definitely is!

I first fell in love with Kate when she played Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s Academy Award winning film, Almost Famous in 2000. The film is one of my all time favourites. It is based upon music, love and writing. Perfect. Yes!

Hudson sits comfortably in her role as Penny Lane. A ‘Band Aide’, although not to be mistaken for a ‘groupie’. Either way, it is by far her best film in my opinion. Almost Famous is a far cry away from the stereotypical chick flick genre of her more recent roles. It’s as if playing Penny Lane, dressing so effortlessly in 70’s rock and roll denim, fur, floating fabrics and fearless pattern has somehow sculpted her personal style.

ELLE make reference to Kate’s ‘trademark boho look’. Mix this with her Californian girl beauty, her trademark tousled blonde locks and she is a dream. Her style is kind of like a contemporary take on folk. However, she never fails to look amazing, especially on the red carpet.

So hats off to Kate Hudson. A very deserving ELLE Style Star!
